Welcome to the Girls on the Run Solemate team! We’re thrilled to have you on board as one of the dedicated runners supporting Girls on the Run through racing. Here you will find resources to support your event!

Getting Ready for Race Day
- Find a Running Training Plan: To meet any goal, you have to have a plan! Find a training plan that works for you, check out Hal Higdon. Here you will find training plans for different events and experience levels. Training plans can be printed/downloaded for free or you can upgrade to the app for $6.99/month if you want more guided support.
- Find a Running Buddy: Our friends at Run Detroit offer group runs every Saturday morning at 8am. They also offer track workouts on Tuesday evenings from 6pm-7pm at no cost. You can find more information about Run Detroit’s Running Club, HERE. It’s also a GREAT place to purchase a pair of running shoes!

Volunteer at the Event!
There are many unique and fun ways to experience the excitement of the Marathon that don’t require months of training, blood, sweat and tears. Volunteering is another way to engage your supporters, and there are more than 3,000 jobs to fill over the three day event.
