“ripple effect”: a spreading and usually unintentional effect or influence –Merriam-Webster
Our programs are making an impact! At the conclusion of every season, our girls are equipped with new skills, new perspectives and new accomplishments. But the impact doesn’t stop at the there! One of the most powerful outcomes of our programs is the ripple effect our programs have on others. Parents, siblings, classmates and more are the “unintentional” recipients of the positive effects of Girls on the Run. Here’s what one mom had to say about the impact the program had on her daughter:
“I think that Girls of the Run is an awesome opportunity to teach our girls great things about self esteem, treating each other well, working in the community and so much more. My daughter was in the program in the Fall and I fell in love with it. I ran the 5k with her at the end and it was such a great accomplishment for her. She has made some great friends for the first time in elementary school while in the program. It’s more important– and more impactful– than you all may even know.”
